Mental health care should not be a privilege
I will always be in-network with at least one insurance provider, though the specifics may change depending upon rates, ease of billing, etc. Insurance does require a diagnostic code, but otherwise rarely requests additional information nor poses limits onto the frequency of outpatient psychotherapy sessions.
Insurance accepted: United & Aetna (through billing platform, Headway); Kaiser;
Medicare (Part B)
Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, healthcare providers and facilities are required to inform individuals of a “good faith estimate” explaining how much the medical care will cost. You have the right to receive this estimate if 1) you are not enrolled in an insurance medical plan, 2) do not have coverage/eligibility with a federal healthcare program, or 3) are not seeking to file a claim or submit a “superbill” for reimbursement.
Attendance policy
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, a 24 hour’s (business day) notice via phone call or email (refrain from texting) is required. For cancellations made inside this window or in arriving more than 10 minutes late, clients will be billed for a full session fee regardless of insurance or self-pay billing status.
