Polarity reversals occur when our behavior is not aligned with our intention and we find ourselves sabotaging progress. Most of us have had the experience of connecting to a healthy concept or goal only to see ourselves getting in our own way or abandoning course. Underlying reversals are not always conscious and contain hidden messages that block forward movement. Many of our polarity reversals self-correct over time, but often we will need to dislodge ones that are more fixed and longstanding with the below exercise.
As you tap or rub the designated spots, you will repeat each intention statement three times. Researchers have found that if you verbalize a statement three times, you cannot avoid creating a thought field associated with the statement. You are actively focused and giving energy to that thought. Through trial and error with muscle testing, researchers have found that there are twelve themes that cover just about all of the unconscious self-limiting beliefs in our lives. Since the body naturally strives to maintain homeostasis, we are able to correct any blocks (called polarity reversals) by stimulating specific meridian sites. We simultaneously hold two opposing thoughts (a positive statement of self-acceptance and the negative verbalization of the theme) to create a correction. The “even if” part of the statement is a bridge between the conscious and unconscious. It equalizes the positive and negative aspects. In our body’s infinite wisdom, our system will not correct what doesn’t need fixing so there is no risk! Also, you can specify what “problem or limitation” you would like to work on. Feel free to change any of the wording so that it’s perfect for you.
Just another note: polarity reversals have nothing to do with our conscious beliefs. They may not even make sense to us! We may feel that we deserve to get over our problems and desperately want to. These statements below compensate for hidden contradictions and acknowledge parts of us that may struggle with self-limiting beliefs that we are not aware of when connected to Self.
